BigAl and company neglected to play any defense in the first quarter, committed several senseless turnovers and missed seventy-two free throws on their way to the win.

The Wolves are 5-1 in the preseason and have yet to put together a solid effort from start to finish. Perhaps it suggests that our deep and talented roster will produce enough to overcome mistakes…or that preseason basketball really is little more than a month long dress rehearsal. Nuggets top Wolves in mile high chuck-fest

The Wolves dropped their first game of the preseason Friday night, 118-95 in Denver to the Mello-less Nugs. Exhibition play favored the host in this matchup of little defense and lots of long jumpers. One of my favorite swingmen in the league, J.R. Smith, went off for 21 and Chris “Birdman-Bong-Blazer” Anderson added 11 squeezes.
